Port Aransas has 18 miles of open beaches, for shelling, camping, surf fishing, just lazing around, or getting a tan. It is one of the few places left in the country that allow driving on the beach. We have Horace Caldwell Pier, one of the longest on the Gulf of Mexico, which is also a Surfers Haven, and draws International Events during the summer.
