Port Aransas has four piers. Three on the bayside, and Horace Caldwell Pier that juts out onto the Gulf of Mexico for nearly ¼ mile. It is a cement pier and offers bait, food, tackle, souvenirs, and some of the best fishing on the Coast.
We also have the "Jetties". They provide a channel for the Tankers and Cargo Ships that go in and out, and provide several "holes" for fishing as well as a way to reach out ½ mile onto the waters. (Only for the strong hearted, and fleet of foot).
Game fishing and the Tournaments that go with them are the fare for just about every weekend during the summer. From $100,000 prizes to "Petticoat" Trophies.
There are a great number of private boats for hire to take you to catch your trophy fish.
